New "fire" artwork

This is a small pastel and colored pencil drawing that I did to try and promote natural burned areas as beautiful. Fire has an important role in the ecosystem yet so many people consider fire/fire affects as ugly. I wanted to show that life returns and there's beauty to this natural element. The sprout is similar looking to the fleur-de-lis, a french symbol for "heading in the right direction" A message about fire being restored in the ecosystem. The tree in the background looks dead but new leaves blow through the air and age throught distance/time which help depict the return of life, seasons and cycles.

Other fire artwork I have on Facebook
